BSc. in Agriculture 1993, EARTH College, (Escuela de Agricultura de la Region Tropical Humeda). This college is located in the Caribbean zone of Costa Rica, Central America. The mission is focused on natural resources management and sustainability of agricultural activities in humid tropical regions. The period of studies is a 4 years, divided into trimesters of 15 weeks each and full time attending under the "Learning by doing" philosophy.

Soil Chemistry. Mainly on soil nutrients and chemical compounds activity and mobility. Soil and waster pollution in tropical soils. Origin of soil pollution and its effects on crop productivity, and development of techniques for restoration of polluted soil.
Basic field skills on livestock and pasture management, tropical forestry sciences, usage of tools and farm equipment. Basic knowledge on soil and foliage analysis and operation of atomic absorption (AA), UV HP Chromatography (HPLC) and general soil equipment.
